I thought Aaron was playing with diesels now?

Aaron plays with anything he can get his hands on .. err ... you know what I mean.

They appear suspiciously similar to the 996 calipers in size. If they are they won't clear pegs. a minimal 3 mm spacer is needed.

They are the practically the same dimensions, we put them and a 996 side by side and your can't eyeball the difference.

Damn I need to stop by and see this car. Looks awesome.

Anytime you are in Houston send me a PM!

Good choice on kids car seat! I've got the Recaro Pro-ride for my son in my R and my wife's Forester. For my car I used a foam pool noodle under the base to make it sit flatter. Which helps save my R seats a bit. We flip it to forward facing just before he was 3yrs. Only thing is I wish our cars had the bottom anchors like the p2 cars.

Thanks for the advice, I have an old broken noodle I could re-purpose. It was just a test fit. Still trying to convince the wife that while its the fastest car we own, its also the safest.

Edited 06/11/2015: I originally purchased this car from my father back in 2005 for $7000 with 57,000 miles. It was not my first Volvo (244 DL I wish I still had), but it introduced me to the world of

Someone just came home in time for Thanksgiving. And now it has three Recaro seats instead of two

Progress, the engine is all back together again. SPM rods, new IC plumbing, custom Wiseco pistons (9:1, 81.5), ARP, 00' R head, yada yada yada ...

remind me what seat brackets you are using, are they custom made? or does Recaro make their own brackets for our cars?

Custom made from a shop in Seattle, I think it is called Speedware Motorsports.

I came to the realization that an off the shelf tune (ARD) is not going to cut it with the intake manifold, so I have purchased an ECU from Aaron (Tightmopedman9) and will be working with him using TunerPro RT to get things sorted out. I want to get the K24 dialed in and break in the engine for a few thousand miles, then go bigger with the turbo.

Aaron has been very communicative and helpful, anyone wanting a custom tune I would definitely recommend him.

I'm seeing 20psi on mine now and when I had it set a bit higher you could definitely feel it dropping off compared to where it is now.

Are you looking to go bigger with the turbo altogether or would you want to build a hybrid with what you have now? I'm not looking for much more power than I have now, but B_Mac has me pretty convinced to go to a GT28R for a reliable and linear 320awhp.

I will go bigger, with the intake manifold its silly not to aim for at least 400 awhp.

28-71 or bust...

Anything smaller than that and you might as well keep the stock turbo on. On the 2.5 I'd go with a 2876 and higher
