cruising around doylestown today, i saw a pretty crazy orange corrado waiting to turn into the street. 5 speed, VR6, i dunno what else was done to it but it looked pretty done up. i guess he heard my turbo and wanted to play we ended up merging onto the expressway with a nice long open patch of road, and the rest is history.

sport mode was engaged (for moar HP, of course) we were cruising at about 50 i guess, he kicked down, so naturally i did as well i walked him. we went for a second run, walked him again. after deeds were done, we ended up pulling next to eachother a few miles down the road, i briefly talked to him, the typical "nice car, bro" deal. when he asked what kind of engine mine had i saw practically a face of shock when i told him it was a 5 cyl turbo. those faces never get old

just thought i'd share.

Ummm...my best friend picks up his Corrado VR6 from the shop next week.

It was stock when he dropped it off.

He's picking up a 3.0L big valve ported head Megasquirt tuned GT35R turbo monster, to the tune of about 550-600whp.

Such fond memories of "driving around at the posted speed limit" in that car... dark green turbo v6, was my first car stereo install too. Ever seen a 4-way nakamichi system?

Dumbass warped it on the track nosing a barrier.

Worst was the Bavaria he flipped on I93. Now that was a sexy car. Fortunately his dad bought 2, and the red one is sitting in storage with only 12,000mi on it. A completely mint 1972 BMW Bavaria.

but as of today MBC installed and set at 13.5 boost, torque steer esta monstrous

I had a Corrado G60 w/ VR6 swap and I would be able to spank WRX's on the highway pretty bad...chip, cams, intake, exhaust on the VR6. It was a quick little car. I would think it would take I/E + tune in a T5 to give it a run.

I got beat off the line by a new Eclipse...couldn't catch up. It had I/E that I noticed...so I'm guessing the VR was mid 14 and probably mid 90's traps with those bolt ons.

I could walk on WRX's on the highway with just a IPD tune and a short ram.
