So while I was cruising on the autobahn today, I came across a worthy opponent. I was coming to a red light when I noticed a black Pontiac GTP coupe with a 2 gauge pod and some black wheels. I come to a stop, tap my throttle, and have him and his hot girlfriend look over. The light went green and we both took off normally, he just accelerated a little faster than I. I figure it's time to see if he's game, so I light the tires up in second and take it up to about 75 (it's a straight 2 lane strip while entering a small highway). He waits a solid 10 seconds, flies up my ass, and then cruises right next to me. I drop it into 3rd gear and he downshifts as well, there was no honks, he just decided to take the jump. Since he jumped he had put about a car length on me, I quickly gain 1/2 a car back and my bumper sits at his door all the way up to 110. I was seriously surprised that we were pretty much dead even. He gave me the look and then gave me the thumbs up. His supercharger was pretty damn loud and I'm figuring he had the basic bolt ons since I heard a fairly loud exhaust. All of this was done with a stock S70 T5M with an mbc.

Hmmm...sounds pretty good. How much boost you running with the MBC?

My cbv is leaking so it depends on weather conditions. During the day I'm usually 12-13 psi and a cool night I'm about 16 psi. To be honest, I never looked at my boost gauge so I can't tell you how much it was at the time.

That said, T5M's with a couple basic mods are surprisingly quick!

I was going down rte 66 coming from Hebron and came across this guy at the major intersection in Columbia, all this was done on that small highway there.

I love how most people who come to the Racing threads to bitch and moan about accelerating hard on the street have never driven on a race track in their lives. It's pretty hypocritical.

Nice I raced this kids full bolt-on gtp from a 50 roll, pulley ignition intake exhaust downpipes, tune etc, his car ran a 13.3 @ 104mph, I pulled him by 3-4 cars. Video is on matt (piglets) facebook haven't uploaded to youtube yet

All GTP's are auto so it's not surprising he tried to get the jump. There's several modded GTP's around here, one ditched the s/c for a gt35 and is a beast.
