I own a 1998 s70 with 131,000 miles on it. ( best car I ever had) I read on the message boards that a possible reason for rear main seal leaks was a dirty flame trap and pcv related hoses. I clean the flame trap about every 15,000 miles but could anyone tell me what else should be cleaned or replaced on the system to avoid rms problems ?Thanks, Tom H

If you keep the PCV, flame trap clean and the vacuum lines that hook to it open then you should have no RMS problem because of Crank case pressure. Now down the road if it leaks it could be the seal is just worn out, that happens as well.
