Hi,

Sofar as I m informed, having an Aisin-Warner AW55-50 on my S40 2.0T MY2000.
If this 4 speed tranny one day will be shot off, do we have a possibility to substitute them with the newer 5 speed tranny from model phase II MY2001 ? Or do we have a problem with the actual ECU unit also ?
Any inputs or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

If it would bolt up and I think it would you would have to change the trans, the shifter bucket, Software up date and the Transmission module, and you would have to start using the Volvo synthetic fluid at about $25 a Quart.
