Turn Signal Failure

My money is that the stalk assemble is history. But again, before I hack apart my steering column to replace it, I want to be sure there isn't anything else that could cause this.
Opps. Wrong forum. I had a few windows open and hit post in the wrong one. Could a mod please move this to 98/older maintenance.

Before I go and rip apart my steering column, I need to make sure that this is actually this issue. Whenever I signal to turn (direction doesn't matter), the signal doesn't goes off on its own. Like the stalk doesn't even pop back to the center position. If I push it back manually, it turns off. My thing here is it's not consistent. Sometimes it turns off on it's own, other times it doesn't. The type of turn doesn't matter, since I can throw the wheel all the way the to either direction, and it won't turn off, but other times, I do a slight turn and it turns off automatically.

Sounds like your flux capacitor isn't at full warp level yet.
I thought you should have known that, I mean you can build robots can't you?

What, the fact that I posted in the wrong forum? I wasn't paying attention! I literally had 15 VS tabs open in Chrome, and I hit post in wrong one. And the flux cap. is not currently possible. Well, at least not yet. No nuclear fusion has been truly developed. Warp speed is also not possible, since no form of solid matter can currently survive the forces that would be attained while traveling at the speed of light. (670,616,629 MPH) And whatever number of gigawatts the movies claim is needed isn't that huge. There are data centers that measure their usage in terawatt-hours!

there is a mechanism in the column which hits something in the stalk as the wheel returns to forward position....this may be broken or missing....but you say it's intermittent?
i think you're going to have to remove the covers over the steering column, and the stalk to have a look...no way around it.

Faulty, how is the blinker fluid level. If its low, the symptoms you explained will happen. Top up the fluid. Also, there is a fuse in the trunk by the left rear tailight, its rainbow coloured, pull it and test it for resistance.
It could also be your engine internals are getting warn. To cure this, drill a 1/4in hole in a AA battery. Put it in your brake booster line. When your mashing it, the acid from the battery will enter the intake mani and meet air and gas. A chemical reaction occurs where the acid is actually bonded to the cylinder walls, and when heat is added from combustion, the acid hardens and you have re-inforced the block. Works better than sleeves.
LB, we are the only two mofo's with flux capacitors set to warp as$ rapping level, faulty has a tinkerbell flux capacitor. And well played face palm dude
For reals. My car does this too, on purpose though. The airbag ring is what controls the automatic click on and off. I deleted my airbags. Take the two t 30 screws off the back of the bag with the battery disconnected, and look at the plastic with orange piece of sh!t, its probibly burnt, or the plastic gear is missing teeth.

remove steering wheel by taking out the large bolt in the center, just be sure your steering wheel is straight when you put it back on
now you have access to the turn signal return assembly. it's the clear plastic part that goes around the column. it is probably snapped where 1,2 or all 3 of the torx screws are. glue it back together or just use a flux capacitor to do it or some bullshit.
now put everything back together.
last step.....

OK, that doesn't seem too bad. The picture in VADIS is unclear as to if the stalk and this hitting component are combined or separate. I got the part number 9162455 for the stalk, and there isn't anything else in the same catalog section that sticks out as turn signal related.as much as i'd like to piss on you, atleast you asked a valid question....so i will attempt to point you in the right direction...just don't monkey it up.

the stock isn't your problem, and cannot be split apart. Listen to what T5 power and myself said (last paragraph), its the plastic orange thing behind the wheel.

That doesn't exist to my knowledge. The closest thing I know is installing Euro-Style side markers, which don't do crap for performance, they just make the look cooler. Are these performance blinkers?
I though T5 Power was joking due to the Back To The Future reference. But if he was serious, then OK. I will do that.the stock isn't your problem, and cannot be split apart. Listen to what T5 power and myself said (last paragraph), its the plastic orange thing behind the wheel.
And why the hell would you do an SRS delete on a DD? I can understand it on a track car, but a DD?
