I recently swapped out my suspension for the Koni + Eibach setup, which has done me good. However, I felt a pull to the right. I went to the dealer, got an alignment (they've done good by me for the most part) and it still pulled and they blamed the tires. Not sure if I believed it, but whatever. The rears were pretty low and the fronts, when they evened out, would be about toast as well. Figured I'd drive it and just swap out when the time came.
Well, Goodyear has the $80 MIR again, and the local place will price match with TireRack, which makes life easier. They no longer have the GS D3's, but they do have the Asymmetrics. I rode in a co-workers 2009 Corvette Z06 that had those on it, and they gripped like nuts (though to be fair, the rears are retardedly fat, and the fronts are also wider than my tires
I swung by and ordered my tires today. I ended up going 225/40R18 instead of 235s due to the price difference. Like $40 per tire or something stupid for only 10mm of width and a tiny diff in sidewall height. Also, ever since I dropped the car, it's been rubbing again at full lock, so with any luck that'll go away again, heh. Looking forward to getting them and comparing them to the old ones. Also, to see if my alignment wasn't done right/something else is wrong with the suspension. Looking forward to not having to compensate for occasional pull to the right.
