okay some as some of may know my 850 is sick so i got it a gently used 16t turbo.. but exhaust mani doesnt bolt up needs a 98 v70 t5? mani , so cause i didnčt know this i lost the mani and down pipe with ccat that the turbo came off (doh) so est oakville for a 3in ss downpipe with highflow cat $824 cdn then to budget exhaust for 3 in ss cat-to-tip unless est can install whole thing for good price still need cone intake with silicone airhoses, black 17x7 titans, tower bar, cam shaft ps, universial steering joint

Manifold's are the same, DP is different but for now you could just swap out the housings on the turbo until you source a new DP.

Its a band clamp on the turbo, 1 10mm nut and the exhaust housing comes right off.

Im also lost as to why it might go to volvo heaven if you dont get a sweet 3" exhaust a little larger turbo and all these goodies... kinda sounds like your tryin to go to heavin not hell haha

my current turbo is leaking like a sive ... lso throwing unclearable codes ... like damaged cat misfired cyl shorted or open tc valve... so new stuff

so the 1994 850 turbo and the 1998 v70 t5 have the exact same exhaust mani? i have a td04hl-15g conical vin 57 engine and car is listed as 855

got the est down pipe w/high flow cat and str8 pipe so saving bolt on cat for last emission test next year then selling and cat-back w/muffler and 3.5in oval

chrome tip.

but heres a question?

no cat just str8 pipe and muffler or no cat resonator and muffler? whats the difference? performance wised and sound wise?

well are you going to have literally just mandrel bent pipe or and form of resinator? I have the OBX wich is 3" down pipe, 3" test pipe (no cat), 2.5" catback with the 2 baffle and resinator. it rips very well and has a great sound. Power wise a Cat shouldnt make a huge difference +/- as long as you get high flow.

as for the down pipe youll have to swap the straight flange hotside to use a straight flange DP.

emissions if you know the people can get by with stuff but idk where you live. I had mine inspected with a home made 02 spacer for 3$ and passed with no CEL & they pretended they saw a cat not a 3" straight pipe. computerwise i was "legit" so they said F it his exhaust was sweet.

I just read it & dont wanna rewrite and saw you said DP > straight pipe (no cat) > muffler. That will sound just like my car for the most part. Its noticable & the performance is definatly noticable as long as your runnin in tip top shape. The cat might tone it down a bit if without is to much for you. As for between where the DP is and the "cat" back youll need something to replace the cat regardless if you want a cat or a straight pipe.
