Had a blast yesterday coming home from work. Came to a stop with three lanes. On the line was a Mazda rx8, a BMW M3(not new but not old) and a Mitsubishi evo with a shinny exhaust. I was behind the evo. I really wanted to make a run at it but did not know if it was going to happen. I was watching the BMW driver and he did not seem interested but then he started to hunker down and look around. I was thinking...he's gunna go.

Green light, everyone left slowly then the Evo took off. I spooled and caught him but then he slowed, I guess thinking the other cars were not interested. Then the BMW that was beside me dropped gears and took off which opened the lane behind him, I moved over. The Mazda didnt care and wasnt playing. Then the evo got on it again. The BMW started passing and pulling away on the EVO and I began gaining on the BMW to the point I had to move to the third lane. Then I proceeded to do a nice walk by. I thought I heard a blowoff valve from the BMW but not 100% sure( I didnt know they came with turbos). Regardless, Excellent win for the Wagon. I got a honk from the Evo when he passed later.

Not offended. It was a strange sound between gears, not a traditional BOV but enough to make me wonder. He shifted right next to me and I had my windows down.

Looks like you and I are running about the same specs.

right on .. its a good setup for the money on our cars...

m3s are amazign cars.... the only thing thats keeping me from buying a e36 is the fact that its slower then my volvo :/...

I've always wanted to line up next to two cars who are racing each other and then unexpectedly pull on both of them. That would be awesome.

M3s are amazing cars, handling characteristics that dominate most cars, but they are fairly slow in stock form, the older ones at least.

Lol. Dusting people in a wagon is always fun! I'm sure they all said" what the fuck" a Volvo? Could of had a lpt. They have all kinds of turbo kits for non-t m3's. 5-6 psi. Made for more show then go. Nice kill on the evo. A fast car that falls apart faster. Good job bro.

I must be the only white guy in Antelope that's not Russian. I was starting to think I was the only one in town under 50 with a volvo. Now I know there are 2.lol. Sac town meet? You did this in Roseville! If a cop was there they would of hung all 3 of you on the spot.

Coulda been supercharged. There's a guy one here with a yellow supercharged E36 who was at Carlisle
