Located in Devon PA
I had planned to keep this but after I found my 99T5 wagon, I decided to sell it.
Since I planned to drive this, nothing was spared from making this one of the nicer T5 5 speeds around.

Tropic Green (Blue-Green metallic), Oak-Arena leather
Work done in no particular order and there was so much I'm sure I will be editing this list as I remember things that are not on the list below!

The car has 146K miles but anyone (even you guys) would would swear it was nearly new.
This is a 2 owner PA car, clean Carfax

Again, in no particular order:
New (not used) master window switch
New (not used) power seat switch
2000 V70R steering wheel
New driver's seat foam
New seat shock (to prevent the 98 seat clunk)
New factory pre-painted rear bumper
New gas flap hinge
New throttle cable
Brand NEW fog lights
Lower grills painted flat black
New Battery
New B+ cable
New sunroof switch
New positive cable
Used power steering pump
New J-hose
New Conti DWS tires 205/55/16 on OEM Perfos. Force balanced
New brakes all around
One new front caliper, all calipers painted black
Complete tune up, new MSD coil
New air and cabin filters
OEM Volvo strut brace
New 99 hood squirters
New door lock
New ignition lock/cylinder
New rear exhaust hanger
New Volvo exhaust tip
IPD clear corners
New oil cap seal
99 side marker lights
New drivers exterior lock and key assy, (not the in door lock assy, that too is new as stated).
New timing belt, serp belt, water pump and ALL tensioners incl. idler pulley.
COMPLETE breather box assy, ALL new water hoses, vacuum lines and ALL clamps
(Seafoamed before the tune up and service)
New plastic overflow tank and hoses
New thermostat
New wiper blades
2000 Grill (blue emblem)
New clips, push buttons and many interior and ext.bulbs all around
New Koni Yellow Sport struts and shocks
New IPD Spring seats
New rear shock mounts
Stock 816 stereo, new (used) rear deck speakers.

NEW EVAPORATOR SEE POST BELOW

The front bumper and hood had a bunch of stone chips and scrapes so the hood and roof were stripped to bare metal and painted along with the bumper
I also painted the side door moldings as they were fading a bit.
New front windshield (for pitting) and new windshield molding.

Right now the door panels are (perfect) cloth panels I had lying around, the vinyl panels are separated, both come with the car.
The cloth panels match the darker dash perfectly and give a real neat/interesting appearance contrasting the lighter Oak seats. This is the buyer's choice, I can put the others back in if desired.
I also have a set of NON separated light sand panels I just got from Jorden VW if anyone would want these instead.

On a scale of 1 to 10. The paint and body are a 9.9, the interior is about the same.
Mechanically, also a 9.9 (-.1 for age), but she needs absolutely nothing.
It's a very quick T5, tight with not a single noise, squeak, clunk or rattle (I HATE rattles and squeaks).

A complete set of pictures will be taken over the weekend and posted soon. I still have to install the 99 side markers and the grill over the weekend and go over the entire car again.
Remember, I originally built this for myself so nothing was spared, I like my cars as perfect as possible!

Asking $7350 for what must be one of the better 98 T5Ms out there

If, after the pictures are posted you may be interested, kindly PM me.

To my dismay (and the reason I have not bumped this) is that it needs a new AC evaporator. :(
I won't sell a car that the AC gets warm in 3 months (a year, perhaps , but it has to be good for at least an entire season)!
The compressor is fine, I know it's the evap, I can smell it.
I will be installing one in a couple of weeks (or whenever we can get around to it), along with a new blower motor, resistor pack and probably an oriface tube while it's all apart,
(Heater core is new, installed by the PO).
Selling price will not be raised, so along with a nearly new T5 you will also get a new Evaporator installed!
If anyone wants this sooner, I can put the evaporator on the front burner.

Just an FYI if anyone cares, Jim was kind enough to give me a ride home in this car a few months back (~60 miles, local and highway) and I have to say that this car felt tighter than many of the newer P2's I've owned. I generally hate x70's, but this one felt as if it had just rolled off the production line on a Monday afternoon. If it were a wagon and AWD, I'd consider picking it up for myself.

This is now 100% ready for sale,
The new evaporator was installed last week.
A new alternator was also installed, (it had this weird occasional noise that we finally pinpointed down to the alternator).
CAR NEEDS NOTHING.
Price is the same
