Up for sale are my 18x8 SSW Trex wheels. These are no longer available outside of the EU. On top of that, the set i have was supposedly one of only 3 sets ever brought to the US in this color. I had originally ordered them in the more plain gray, and was called back by the dealer saying they were still waiting on their shipment for a couple weeks, but that they had one set of them in "hyper black" (not listed as an available color option) that was one of only 3 sets imported and to retail for $80 more. Needless to say, i took them, and liked the color far more. The only bad new is that they aren't in absolutely mint condition. There are no bends, but due to the bowed spokes and my tire choice, i did pick up a couple of curb nicks from parking too close. Id like to get $575 for them.

If there were only 3 sets of Hyper Black imported, I have one of them.

I believe you were waiting for what was called Flat Titanium. One of the Euro guys has a set of those on his car.

These will clear Porsche calipers without spacers. Plenty of room.

thats cool. the brake clearance was one of the main reasons i bought them, along with just wanting to have something different than pegs w/o having to have adapters made. Also, there could definitely be more than 3 sets of these here in this color now. im just going by what i was told by the importer at the time i bought them, which was pretty much as soon as they were made available here. Did you end up having to pay a premium for the color option, or were they the same price as the Flat Ti?

The first run came in Silver, Bronze and Flat Titanium. This is when I first found them and I also wanted the flat Ti, but they were already sold out when I checked. It took another year before they came back, then they replaced the Flat Titanium with the Hyper Black (also called Black Chrome). The interesting thing is the Flat Titanium was darker than actual Titanium, just like the Hyper Black isn't really black at all. This last run lasted 6 months at best and they were gone.

Here are some pictures.

I love these wheels. I had them on my 200SX. Same color and all. I kinda really want them.

not sure on the weight at the moment, but i'll weigh one later tonight. they arent the lightest wheels around......on par with the average cast 18x8 wheel. I'll also try and find some pics of my car when it was lowered 2.75" on them. it looked pretty tough tucking the front and rear wheels, with the limo tint, and blacked out pillars.

I believe they are around 20lbs. I am interested in hearing the real weight. I have the same hyper black set on my 2004 R. They clear the R brakes with clearance to spare. Awesome price for a nice set of really rare wheels.

It is lowered, but I am not sure by how much. Probably closer to 1.5"

These are great looking wheels. I bought my set back in 2005 for my S40 when the distributor, Stamford Tires, had a distribution center in Miami FL. You must check if the offset matters to you, because later production runs are slightly different.

When I checked back in 2007 to buy another spare wheel, the offset had changed to 39mm, IIRC. My set was 42mm.
Extra info from box:
Offset 42mm
Center bore 73.1mm
Bolt hole 29x13
Lug pattern 5x108

Gratuitous shot of my car with these wheels.

Gah! Such bad timing but I'd love these wheels. My OZ's are amazing but they don't look substantial enough on the S60 in my opinion. Are they the correct center bore?
