So I was on my way back from the VCOA meet this afternoon and turned onto a 4 lane highway that had several miles of just woods. As I turned onto the road I might have punched it a little and caused the cone filter to "breathe" but I was the only one on the road. As I pull up to the next light this huge Dodge 2500 SLT (looked ~2006) comes roaring up next to me. I glanced over and thought, well somebody's in a hurry. When the light turned I stepped on the gas to go and realized he was REALLY stomping on it. I figure he must have thought I was some souped up nothing in an orange paint job and was worthy of being taught that the Hemi is the boss of the road. Smiling I thought, OK, let's see what you've got and punched the accelerator myself. Chirped the wheels at 2nd and 3rd during which he held tight but as I hit the sweet spot I pulled a couple car lengths on him before hitting any kind of stupid speed.

We pull up to the next light and there's another car in the other lane so he pulls up really close behind me like he's going to monster truck right over me. I accelerated at the green at a normal pace and eventually he made his away around the other car and went roaring past me just before turning right off the highway. I waved as he went past. Posted Image Had it been a Cummins it probably would have ended in his favor.

Performance wise the engine has a three angle valve job, a ported NA intake manifold, ported turbo manifold, and the NA throttle body. Otherwise I'm still running a 16T, white injectors, stock intercooler and the standard T5M ECU. I've been debating what to drop in as an upgrade on the turbo but have a brand new set of green injectors ready for once I make that decision. Once I get the turbo figured out I'll swap out the downpipe and drop a new tune in as well along with a FMIC.

The money that was supposed to go into dropping in the new turbo + tune + down pipe disappeared for this year when I blew the engine in my daily driver thanks to a failed tensioner on the timing belt.

So the plans are being put together for next year. Posted Image
