Hi Guys

Couldn't pass this one up !

A couple of days ago I was at work ( Mazda Parts interpreter ) minding my own business and a fellow rocked up to our front counter and asked for me...
" heard you like fixing Volvo's "
So I asked him what he had and it turns out his wife had cooked the 850R on the way home from the shops
Anyway $800 later and I am the proud owner of my first 850R !

Just need opinions gents,I've found a fairly high kilometer complete engine from the same vintage car but I'm toying with the idea of a later engine from an s60 t5...2001 or newer given the fact that its internals are stronger newer technology and better cooling.

I understand there are modifications required to the cam to fit the old school dissy and inlet manifold port matching is also required,is this the way I should go ?

if you're keeping the car i would go ahead with the swap, if you're flipping it, just put any motor in

Well here are some dodgy pics from my Blackberry, the car will stay here at a mates smash shop until I'm ready to fix or replace the engine.

Ive got a Saffron 97 V70R project on the go too !









Can't wait to get it home and give it a good clean
