Just got back from the drag strip, and whoooohhhoooo....ran 13.6689 @107.88mph. :D :D

RT .9070 (kinda sucks)
60' 2.2958

Second best run of the night was 13.7263 @ 106.86mph

RT 1.0697 (first run of the night)
60' 2.2154

Best RT of the night was .5048!!!

Then on the drive home I got passed by a red Nissan Maxima 2 door who was just flying. I caught up to him and instigated him a lil bit (but this guy was driving like a real douche). Eventually I turned left to go home (was 2 miles from my home) and he kept going straight. So I pass this cop on a sidestreet and he gets behind me and follows me. On come his lights and he pulls me over. Evidently some nark called the cops about some guy hot rodding on the street weaving in and out of traffic and he has camera phone pics (but he didn't show me, so I'm guessing it was the red Nissan that he had photos of). Now mind you, I was in the left lane for at least 10 miles and had no need to weave in and out of traffic. The red Nissan on the other hand was a different story, I personally saw him weaving in and out and even told the cop about the guy. So the cop starts interrogating me about my driving and having all these witnesses so don't act in dumb in front of me. The cop notices the number painted on my windows, the helmet in the passenger seat and knows I just came from the drag strip and was still wound up. Needless to say, after 3 of his buddies show up, I got off with a very very very very very very very firm warning and to next time don't play dumb in front of a cop. :monkey:

Nice run Lee, sorry the cop had to piss in your cheerios! Posted Image But glad to see you got off with nothing more than a warning. I suspect our beautifully cool weather had something to do with the faster run, don't you think? I had the car out this afternoon with the temps down at 65 degrees and could definitely feel it pulling stronger on the road.

Thanks. Yea, that probably had something to do with it, was consistently running high 106, low 107 all night. But now I have an exhaust leak, my CEL is on (wonder if its from the leak), and the car is making a funny noise under boost, noticed it on the way home. Will have to investigate the noise tomorrow, and get that leak fixed.

yea, there was "something" in there as usual. I'm not sure what I'm launching at, I lauch by sound of my engine (guessing 2500-3000), so my times are kinda of shitty when I've got some big block in the lane next to me. When you go, get out of 1st gear quickly so you aren't spinning the wheels wastefully.

But after last night, now I've got a CEL on with misfires in cylinders 2,3 and 4; got an exhaust leak somewhere, and when shifting the turbos making a funny nose like theres a leak somewhere. :( :o :( :o

Way to go Lee ! I hope nothing serious is wrong with your car.
Might be time to coordinate a trip up to Great Lakes Drag. I'd love to see you and Doug go at it.

We should do that soon, it would definitely be fun. I've got my car running significantly better after adjusting my exhaust cam timing. Let me know next time you guys want to go.

Nice run, getting that 60' down to a solid 2.0 could net some very interesting ET for this car... maybe drop MPH, but awesome run man!

yea, I need to find some lighter wheels for all 4 corners. I want to race the car at the drag strip as I drive it on the street; this way I know what to expect on the street.

Yea, I was pretty excited at the track when I broke 13.7; that was my goal all night. Prior best time after install of Stage 3 was 13.77, so I was pretty excited when my first run of the night was 13.72. After that the goal was to get under 13.7, but took me 8 more runs to finally do it. With a fwd its really tough to stay consistent run after run. But at least so far every time I go to the track I come away with a faster time. :D
