Normally I'm running 100 on the street and now that I found 110 will add that before track. Usually I have 5 gals sitting in the garage also.

Are you having detonation problems when you run below 100 or do you just feel that it helps? Must get expensive running that on the street?

During the summer months no detontation problems running 93, the 100 is just extra insurance for me. Also during the summer I runner a colder plug. This past Friday while driving normally to/from the dragstrip I got a CEL. Checked the codes and misfires in 2,3 and 4. Now that its getting cooler out, that makes sense, charge is cooler in the engine, high octane fuel, cold plugs = misfires. I swapped in a hotter plug yesterday, went for a drive similar to Friday, and no CEL.

Nice times, a lighter wheel will defiantly bring the times down.

I run steelies at the track with horrible tires on them, and my times are close to yours with a milder setup. I ran with volans at the track one time and I lost 3-4 tenths and 5 mph.

I lost all of my slips but I have pics of my 13.9 run and a 2.23 60' was 8.99 1/8@82.7 and 13.904@100 at the line. possibly due to a turbo with more of a bottom end kick but I think most likely due to the lighter wheels.

Running your street shoes at the track to see what you run on the street is kind of a moot point, you will never see the same times on an unprepped street as you do at the track.

I think getting out of first gear as quick as possible helps, and not spinning the tires unmerciful in 1st also. It was also a very cool night so that probably helped.

those are pretty solid times. good work man.

maybe just get some stock wheels and some slicks and you'd bring your 60ft well under 2.0.

some people are trolls. lol

Yea, I still have the stock 16" wheels, thinking about putting a lil better rubber on those just for the track. No way I'd put slicks on the car, would much rather spin the wheels instead of catastrophing the tranny. Thanks for the cudos. I was pretty stoked that night after getting that time!! Just wish I could stay consistent run to run.
