i'm looking to add the bmw-esque "beep beep" whenever i unlock my doors
does anyone know where to find the "speaker" or whatever they are?

these aren't the HORNS but more like a digital beep...

Ah yes, the signature "Beep beep" BMWs and Lexus make. I really don't know what makes them, but I'm thinking it's a piezo buzzer or speaker of sort. Perhaps find a totaled BMW?

My buddy has a factory alarm in his M and it makes almost a siren-like chirp/beep. I don't know if that's what you're talking about, but it is a factory system, from BMW. He bought his brand new from a dealership in Georgia or somewhere. They were selling them online, he had it shipped and had Chapman install it. I think he paid less than $500 for the parts themselves. If you want cheap I'd vote salvage yard.

my Greddy turbo timer makes a beeping that sounds pretty similar... could be a start...

It sounds like it, but it's not as loud as the bimmer beep...

you know guys... what you should do is, ask this question on a bimmer forum.. just pretend to be a total newb, and ask, "where is the thingy that makes the beeping noise when you lock the doors?" I bet you'll have it figured out in no time..
