Hello. Sometimes when I go to start my car, it wont fire; then I can hear the the pump or something priming for 2 seconds or so. Or sometimes it starts for a second then dies right away. (erhehehevroom ... dead) Sometimes it starts too fast (erhevroom .. dead)Last but not lease, there's times when i have to keep my foot on the gas pedal for it to start and it puts until everything smooths out while I am pumping the gas pedal.

I've have new ignition coil, spark plugs, wires, distributor and rotor, air filter.

So could the fuel filter be the problem? I took it off and it's hard to blow through. Doesn't have a straw flow. W

What can be the problem?

Same guy different user name. (had forgot my password used brothers account etc etc)

Anyway. I replaced the fuel pump relay and fuel filter and still have hard starting issues. Sometimes the car acts like it wants to start but doesn't. Other times it'll keep cranking and then I can hear the fuel pump AFTER the cranking stops. Is this normal? When it does start, it's kind of rough and then things smooth out. I'm probably gonna drive this car of the cliff.

Did you clean the throttle? My 245 use to have a hard time starting if the little air passage was clogged.

Suggestions didn't seem to work :( Only thing I can think of is that it has to be the:

:: fuel accumulator ::

What are the odds of this part failing? Has anyone had to replace this on their vehicle before?

It could be the fuel pump check valve. That is what keeps the fuel in the lines from going back into the tank and that could be why it is hard to start as the pump get fuel back in the lines.

Could be the warm up regulator. Try pumping the gas pedal very quickly while starting it, this causes the the system to richen the mix and can help it get going.

K-Jet is a fun system :)
