Wow brother, my hats off to you for spending your own cash for the community. I never knew how much it cost to run a website.

Go look up colco for a dual Xeon with 8 gigs ram, and two 200gig raid 1 containers per month with a cpanel license. For IT being your hobby I think you are leaning dangerously close to hippie.

Just had lunch the other day with a forum member who was telling me that so many scams were going on. Good move Charles, may have some parts I could move cheap to help get the motor going even more quickly on that site.

i see them  right below wanted...

the new way of doign it really isnt that bad. if your a lifetime supporting memeber you pay no extra fees... it take maybe a minute more per item to list then the old way... feedback is way better less chatter and crap in the forsale ad

when i first opened it up i was like uhh... but i went through with chuck and tested it out did a purchase and listed a few items. fairly simple and straight forward... its not that scary guys  its just new youll get used to it

and it will work much better then the old way. feedback is actully tied to the sellers account, chuck can monitor items that have been sold/paid for and he has all the info on file if a problem was ever to arise.

So is this like ebay now or what? Hard to tell from a smart phone....

I see selling fees, if that's the case I will sell items elsewhere. Life has too many fees already. lol

I will have to investigate better from a pc in the morning.

Got a big cock? Let me see it!

Bingo

Somebody finally hit it

It wasn't so much the rip offs that started this move. It was all the belly aching about it, that put this in motion

If this is the case that started the changes to for sale - why is greekone billy being allowed to be a part of the quaife group buy? Has he righted his wrongs? Should he be allowed? Is it fair?

I have bought and sold a fair amount of things on this board, never scammed anyone, but never got any member reviews - I have to admit I haven't made enough corresponding member reviews for items I have bought - so tit for tat.

I had a seller of an item not show, call, or text after I drove 90 miles up to Carlisle but I filed paypal claim well within the 45 days and got a full refund. Sure I was out the entire day and gas money but that's life.

All this being said, Man up people! If you are getting scammed, file a friggin claim! Don't use paypal gift! bring the right amount of cash for a local pickup!

If you are scamming people, if you aren't man enough to go out and earn honest money and do honest things, karma will come back and kick you hard in the jewels.

/ karma may be in the form of the guy's fist or foot, or his friend's, in your backside. /disclosure voice

/soapbox

new system looks to add more checks to buying/selling and may help to defray (a little bit) the costs of keeping this website up. I will register and give it a shot this week.

I see you already registered but for others it does not really matter. That will be a future options I was only testing at this point. Since posting and selling is free to supporting members anyways it does not mater one way or another.

Well this is kinda lame. Honestly, the FS section was one of the main reasons I came on this site. I feel doing this will have a very negative effect on the site as a whole, and its traffic/use.

Boo. Guess I'll be going other places to buy and sell.

I've bought several things. I also sold a pair of R headlights, I'm going to have a 15g for sale soon at the end of the month.

It's nice to be able to sell your items in the for sale section, and browse it. And not be charged either way to use it.

Unless I missed something and this auction thing is free to use?

I'm not saying I'm not coming back to this site either, or will never post/contribute ever either. Just voicing an opinion. I think F/S sections on web boards are a very nice feature and way to bring traffic to a site, believe me, I have a car site of my own, a local one, but still, the F/S section is one of our business sections and often how people find out about our club/get involved. just my .02 take it for what it is.
