really did not know that. then would a five lug hub fit on my 93
it will fit the drive shaft, drive shaft is the same across the application change. but i'm not too sure about the steering knuckle. i have to check on that later. but i'm 80% sure that the knuckle is the same.

BBS RS are also pretty common in 4x108, amongst many others..

Better thing to upgrade IMO is the timming belt, I guess you could do something here.

Ppl have fitted 5 lugs on to 93's all around.
Not impossible, not worth it unless you've got a parts car or hubs and everything are shot on the car as it stands
thanks for adding to the info's available. did you have to switch the knuckles? or did you just switch the hub/bearing assembly?
those parts to get them new, even aftermarket would cost a fortune.
