My Dad is tempted. Thoughts on the car?

So they finally posted photos. Any idea of mileage? I'm going to guess 140k given recent work.

Still in limbo right now. Going to have the county police come and verify the VIN tomorrow since it needs to be done, and hoping with a police verification the BMV will be in favor of giving me the damn title. Will probably go Saturday morning to another BMV office with fingers crossed and saying prayers walking in.

That sounds like a good plan. That way you can tell the cop your story too. See what he thinks.

In Ohio you have to have an out of state inspection done. I used to do them at the dealership I worked at. A bunch of bureaucratic nonsense. I look at the VIN..write it on a form and sign it as an agent of the title bureau...$20 please. Mind you I did not work at the BMV..they made people waitin line then tell them they had to drive to the dealership and bring back this piece of paper. Like a fucking scavenger hunt.

Indiana is the same way with out of state vehicles brought into IN. Either you take it to the BMV and have it done for free, or have the police do it for $5. Since I am too scared to drive it not knowing if I'm the legal owner, I'm having the police come to my house for inspection (and drooling).

A guy almost crashed on his bike in front of my house doing a double take on the Bee. I needed a good laugh. Then he stuck around to talk with me, evidently he has a quasi-speed shop nearby and was kinda sales pitching me.
