It may be just me but doesn't that engine look really oily?? I would think if they spent that much time with it they find the oil leak, or at least clean the engine.......

I just noticed this guy's got great taste. Anyone see the Ducati in his storage? I don't know what's up with the Isuzu, though.

Here are some pics of my friend's '01. Might not have all the bling, but it's the quickest 996 in the world as of right now since no one else has broken into the 10s. And the thing is...it's set up for road-racing. smile.gif

Too bad it's all show and has the most played-out wheels since the heyday of the Racing Hart C5. smile.gif

EVO GT750, JRZ triple-adjustables, ALMS Brembo GTR brakes, 18" Kinesis K18Rs and Pilot Sport Cups...the usual. Needs a little more tuning, though. He wasn't holding boost properly on that 10-second run (in obviously horrible conditions, BTW), hence the slow trap.

Yeah...if he worked on his reflexes and got his reaction-times down, it would be a 9-second car for sure. rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

The green light doesn't mean crap when you're not bracket-racing. It's only a suggestion on when to go in order not to hold up the cars behind you. Concentrating on your launch RPM and having a good run is more important than a meaningless reaction time.

Yeah, lax is right, he could of shaved at least a half second off that time had he had a solid launch. I love that porsche though, and the ducati is pretty freaking hot too.

P.S. it is also a lifetime goal of mine to race in the gumball 3000 in a Porsche Carrera GT.

Yep.

It's currently making about 640 WHP/WTQ, but it's being upgraded to EVO's GT800 specs with internal engine work and a few other goodies next year. Goal is low-10s @ 135+ on unleaded.
