She came down from New York and was going to SC because her mother just passed away and was going to the funeral. She also had her nephew and neice with her. The Adv. Auto guy pointed to me and said "hey, your that Volvo guy!" I couldn't let him down, so I rolled up my sleeves and went to work.
I won't go into the details of what I did but in short, I had no idea how to work on the 700 series engines but as I started to tinker around with it, I suddenly understood what had to be done, as if I was being told what to do by a pro, it was incredable! I got the right parts, put them all together, tightened her belt, and sent her on her merry way. She was so thankful, got my contact info and wanted to give me some money but I declined it and was happy to help her out.
The funny part was, the employee couldn't help her out very much, some store polacy about what they can and cannot do to costumer's cars. He was so thankful that I came around and helped her out like I did that he got me all the odds and ends, which I was originally coming to pick up, free of charge!
You never know when your Volvo skills will come in handy to help out those that need it the most!
PEACE! And HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
