Uh, that is the strangest course I have ever seen.

Can't see a whole lot from the video location.

Posted Image It is? I though it was kinda weird, but I have no experience base to go from, so I just kinda figured it was normal-ish.
I guess I'll try to grab some in-car video in the spring.

Didn't film any this year, but there is a link to one from last year.

I have never see the big round element you start out with in the video, and the fact you come back to the same elements 2 or 3 times during the run. That normally never happens.

Good job!! At least you're getting out there and doing it.

I agree though... that course is... uh... interesting. :D

Thanks! And yeah, after watching the video Zappo linked, the course here was pretty strange, but it was also in a much smaller area.
Well, weird course or not, I had a lot of fun, and plan on making a few runs next spring/summer Posted Image Plus, it was a good way to meet some of the guys with modified cars on campus

Yeah, our area is a old airport runway, so ours are spread out. We can also run 4 people on the course at the same time because of it.

However, the example was just to show that the elements should be closer together than what it appears in your video. The area you were using might be too small for a real course and maybe that was the problem.

Cool, gotcha. And yeah, its just a parking lot here at school that they clear out for the day--its actually where I park my car.
I'm gonna guess that its hard to find a good space for autocross in the middle of a city Posted Image

not really, it just needs to be a big enough parking lot that is empty. They used to run them here in the Boeing parking lot because it would be empty on Sunday.
