 Every time that it snows, it seems my '97 Volvo wagon attempts to function. All year the light stays on regardless. With the snow, when I turn the key to start the car, the light is out and it makes several testing noises when I pull off. And then . . . the comes on again and stays on.

But only when it snows. :(

STRANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ODBII, I would think you should be able to pull the codes and see where the fault is.

<_< Had it tested twice: once by me, and once by Auto Zone.
It has stopped for now, because the snow is melting on the streets and my driveway,
which means the light stays on as soon as I start the car.
SOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

Well I rather doubt you will find an answer based on snow. If the ODBII readers used so far did not report any related codes, it's possible you may need to seek out a shop that has an reader programmed with proprietary Volvo codes.

My wife's minivan would do that in the snow or sometimes heavier rain. Sold it before I figured it out, but I figured it was something with one of the speed sensors. Some electrical connection that needs the moisture to complete the circuit.

i find (i know it's different between FWD and RWD) that the COLDER temperatures have less of a chance with the TRACS and ABS lights coming on than when it's warmer out
