I finally figured out my video camera and actually have video from the Porsche club event yesterday!! It was dry and the grip was pretty phenomenal. Hit rev limiter and had so much adrenaline flowing I could barely get myself out of the car. Jodi drove Steve's GT3 and beat me by 2/10th of a second. I can't run in class since I don't have a Porsche but had 7th or 8th top time. Out side of Jodi all the other cars were fully race prepped on slicks so I'm pretty pleased with how the Evo performed. Enjoy the vids. And be prepared for a turnaround with out a turnaround cone at the next bscc event. Very challenging.

It only loaded one. here is the view from on top

We had one at Event 1 until we changed the course.

That course looked faster than last week. I guess when you have full race cars you don't want tight courses. :P Good job on keeping up with them.

Looks good Andrew, I love how M got a cameo of the batlwgn in there. I can't believe the amount of water you were pushing. Other than that looks tight and tidy. Next event April 17th

Because you would have been 3" closer to the cone. :)

A clinic in looking ahead too. Did you get me a new helmet too?

Any pics of you Chris?

Nope, same old helmet. I will probably get one at the end of this year because my current one is Snell 2000, and I think this is the last year for that?

yeah, one. He was too fast for the camera person. :)

Underglow!

Here are examples of what NOT to do. To be fair though, there really weren't any instructors to help them out and it was their first autocross. They improved a lot by their final runs.

500 HP drifting. More power does not equal more speed.
Posted Image

Looking ahead, but no where near the turn around cone. Happened a lot once they started to pick up speed they would overshoot. I did it once also, but not this far.

Posted Image

Another overshoot. Wants to lift that rear wheel up. :)

Not sure I am part of the club just yet. :)

The Volvo would have done well on the course, but may have been embarassing for the Evo guys to get beat by a Volvo. :P

Do they have the event results posted anywhere? Couldn't find it on Scorekeeper.

We might as well make this the semi-official ongoing autocross thread, funny thing I can't get any traction with a autocross thread on RX7club.com But safe, four door sedans from Sweden, autocross fools.

Thanks for the results. Seems it got a bit faster in the afternoon. I should have tried going left through the crossover. :)

The reason you can't get a lot of RX7 people out is because most of their free time is spent trying to keep the car running. :P
