Interesting pointers, and a good point as far as turbo lag goes. Seems like so long til the next event.
You won't have the lag I have. Your spooling is under 3k, so it wouldn't be an issue for you. My turbo is bigger so I have to start things sooner at lower RPM.

I was going to suggest lfb in the big turns, but its tends to be hard on cars. Ideally you want to be on the edge of breaking traction as you unwind. Time for a NASSS button on the steering wheel. lol

Chris stole my turbo talking points :) It will take some trial and error but in the long run managing the spool is really helpful. When you see us spinning through the finish we guessed wrong:)
I don't think lfb is necessary but George with your lag it would be provably be helpful.

I spin through the finish also, but only in the wet. I am working on ways to get it to spool sooner still, but I didn't have as much lag on Sunday as usual. I think it is a combination of the course design and the new suspension allowing higher cornering speed and therefore higher RPM. Things like the C-Box I have learned to just floor it early.

I will be back down at TC on Monday trying to get a bit more negative camber. I think with -2 camber and some intake changes I can almost eliminate the lag on the turn arounds, which is my biggest lag location. Not a whole lot I can do if the course has a Z-Box.

I made the mistake of strapping all the way in, then remembered to turn on the camera. I couldn't reach it. I figured it was my first run and probably my worst, so I didn't worry about it.

My upper body still moves a lot. First time I have seen what I am doing. :)

It's been really helpful to have the camera in car. Last event I noticed how much I moving my hands around so picked that as the thing to work on this event.
Here are our videos. None of Chris with the PCA - he couldn't reach the camera either

My 4th place in PAX run. Got beat by Eric in the GT-R, Fast Mike in the S2000 and Dieter in the Cobalt SS.

After seeing your video, I don't feel so bad about my seemingly constant corrections. :)

Congrats on your 4th place. That class is the real serious competition. Both you and Chris, and I guess me also, are still getting used to the caster changes. Neither of you are the cleanest drivers, but usually you are doing it on TO or fun runs and not in class. :) I think if you guys could have got a clean one early you could have done even better.
