And it was definitely nothing to write home about. It was a spur of the moment decision to go to a track in Dayton, OH, since we were there and having a mini-Volvo meet at Lucas' (Korruption). The weather was about mid 50s out and partly cloudy. Runs were a lil after noon, and I don't think the track was sufficiently warm. Did 5 runs, and only managed a 14.06 @104mph. :( :( Way off my best 13.67, but blame it on a cold track, first run of the year and my mindset wasn't fully into it, blah blah blah. :o :( But at least I was able to drive the car home unscathed from Dayton to NW Indiana. :D

It was perfect weather today, I just don't think the track was in ideal condition, and plus my game face isn't on yet.

You probably ran into some traction problems with the track temp...did you spin a lot?

I'm sure half of it was the track temp and being too cold. Spun more than usual in 2nd gear. :(

Need to get a "new" tranny since there are no parts for a rebuild. Hoping to do it this summer maybe, but of course, the sooner the better.

What do you mean there are no parts? just curious. Does that mean to get a 'new' trans you need to buy one OEM from Volvo?

No parts available for rebuilding a tranny according to Rich. Would have to source a junk yard one and hope for the best.

So here's the first good run of the summer, just as good as my best run last year but now I have Sconeman's big bore TB/intake on the car. Weather last night was high 80s, going into a 6-8mph wind, and 65% humidity. Last year's best run was later in the year with colder air and less humidity.

RT 0.1069
60' 2.1461
330' 5.8772
1/8 ET 8.8893
1/8 mph 81.94
1000' ET 11.479
1/4 ET 13.6690
1/4 mph 103.21

Oh ok.
Well you still cut a pretty good 60' time, especially on street tires.
I bet you'll be in the low 13's with the Quaife installed!

108mph is an awsome time for an 18T. Most would be very very happy if that that happend with an 18T setup.
