Hey guys... so I haven't posted here in awhile.. or much at all for that matter .. but anyways, this popped up on craigslist ..97 850 GLT, posted for $700 with bad PCV and RMS disclosed and 193k .. ended up being less than 10 miles from my house and right on my way home from work so I naturally went to check it out...

so anyways I get there and 1st impression is damn thats shiny... beautiful glossy paint, no noticeable door dings or dents, few rock chips here and there but Ive seen much much worse .. interior was good just worn front seats.. took it for a ride... tranny shifted like butter, no warning lights, just blowin some blue smoke and leaking some oil .. everyyything else works great... NO clunks or rattles at all .. car was adult owned and well maintained until recently when he heard about the cost of the RMS repair and got a newer vehicle.. so not that I needed a 4th vehicle laying around, but I couldnt help myself..

I had a red 850 turbo yeeears ago and its one of the only cars I like in Red




Drove home today for 500 bones

OK, I finally got back to work on it last weekend after a forced hiatus.. the 'floor' of my shed got iced over, I had just barely got the shed up before winter hit (and it hit hard) so I didnt have time to assess drainage issues.. then came the rain.. All thawed out now tho, I hope to have the wagon back together this weekend if all goes well.. Otherwise the next two weekends surround my 30th birthday so I'll be getting shitty rather than working on the car As for the 850 I don't plan on doing anything with it until the wagon is finished and back to daily driver status so for now its just going to mostly sit and look pretty.. Although I've decided its inevitably going to be 'the fast one' Going to put the GTI back on the market so hopefully I'll be able to transfer those plates over to the 850 by summer..

oh and Brandon your drivers seat is currently sitting on a pad in my living room and occasionally gets pulled in front of the couch for need for speed
Too bad I'll have to put it in the car soon, it matches my leather furniture

My v70? nah it was a boston car(hence the ugly bumper)/trade in I got at some dinky shop up in Sturbridge MA last year..
