When I ran the car last year my best was a 14.2 @ 103mph. Now I have meth, p'n'p exhaust housing, p'n'p intake mani + big tb.

I'm hoping to break 13's this time and if I can get some radials possibly hit 110mph.....we'll see what happens. What do you guys think???

Mid 13s @ 108-111mph
put some tire on it and you might hit 13.0

Wait... this isn't the same car that you were gonna race the 335i with is it?

Yeah it's the same car. Here's a video I took a few weeks ago of a 2nd-3rd pull.

Well, Brett, go figure out the speed by doing the same thing  . You can tell by how fast I get through 3rd...and I'll have the speeds working soon once I get the right trans in there. I'm using a '99 right now and I have a trans pulled apart and cleaned, waiting for a quaife.

drag radials typcially lower your trap speed due to higer rolling resistance than street tires.

1st run was 13.6 @ 100mph with a 1.9 60 foot. Slicks were at 8psi (supposed to 12)...my gauge was off quite a bit I found out later so I borrow my buddy's gauge.

2nd and 3rd runs were both 13.80's @ 105mph with 2.2 60 footers. Slicks were at 15psi

4th run was a 1.8 60 foot but I missed the 3-4 shift because I ripped the knob off :( ....coasted across the line with a 13.7 @ 85mph. Slicks were at 12psi. That would've been the best run of the day if I hadn't thrown my shift knob into the back seat

I had an absolute blast on sunday and I look forward to spending more time at the track this summer. What I learned is that slick are amazing and when used with rwd wheels, I was able to turn lock to lock with 24.5x8 inch slicks. Only rubbed a bit at the end of the track when I was on the brakes.

Here are two vids and a few pics of the fun. I didn't have much time to take many pictures but I'll be able to get a couple good burnout pics from a few buddies who were there if need be Posted Image Enjoy!

That's not my gf, it's the guy in the yellow's. The towers were dead all day for some reason and the trees kept failing...I sat at the line for 20 minutes on my first pass waiting for the trees to come back up.

What rpm's did you launch at to achieve the 1.8 60ft run?

24.5 inch slicks, boucing at 5k with the trans preloaded. It spun for a little but when it hooked there's no other feeling like it  . If I had done a more aggressive burnout and wasn't worried about getting the car home in one piece I would've had a better 60ft as well.

I have the same size Mickey Thompsons. 24.5x8 ET Drags...only got 1 run in with them on and it bogged launching off 3.5k with the e-brake slightly preloaded, which yielded a 2.0 something 60ft. Like you, I feared for my axles' life :P

I was scared shitless the first time I launched it....just have some faith in the car man  . It'll hold perfectly. Slicks absorb the shock anyway and there's no wheel hop. Just let 'er rip! You need a higher rpm than that too :P
