Exactly what size are these slicks? 24.5 x 8 or x8.25 or x8.5?????? Did they rub?

24.5x8 with no rubbing lock to lock. I'm using RWD 15 inch wheels though so it's basically like putting a 20mm spacer on a fwd wheel. The only rubbing I had was in the brake zone and I melted through the fender liner and there's rubber on my fender now :( . Next time I'll tape them up though.

congrats ben! you happy with this?

Mod list:

super 15g with a ported housing and ATP 11psi actuator
"R" manifold and 3" exhaust
'99 M56H w/ southbend custom organic clutch and 1200lb PP
meth
white injectors
p'n'p intake manifold w/ 960 throttle body
fmic
stock tune at 17-18psi

Am I happy with it? I'm thrilled about my 60ft time because it's realllllly good  , but I need more practice to figure out what tire pressure the car likes. I also really want a quaife or gripper or ANYTHING besides welded spider gears

The last two went under before they even started man.....With that said, I've been talking to a quaife dealer and he said he'd do his best to hook us up. I just need DEFINITE buyers so he doesn't screw himself.

Thanks budday! Well like I said, I need some more practice on the slicks. And being that my best 60ft was 1.87 with 12psi in the tires I think that's the sweet spot for this car. I have no doubt that I can hit a 13 flat or 12.9s on this setup.

Finding a sweet spot between 60ft times and trap speed is the hard part with slicks! I'd be extremely impressed if you got in the 12's with your setup, I think a little lower 13 sec should be reachable though.

I can hit 12s and I know it. I spun off the line on my 1.88 60ft and missed 4th and coasted the rest of the way with a 13.7 @ 85mph. That was going to be a really good run until, like I said, I threw my shift knob into the back seat

How in the hell is that possible when I had to use a table vice and a rubber mallet to get mine off?!

It's understandable though, Niki took off my 740 shift knob and I swear dented my firewall with the clutch pedal when I was teaching her how to drive stick. Excitement gives you super-human strength it seems.

  The thought of you ripping of your shift knob mid run is hilarious for some reason. even though I know it was a sad moment

Car sounds awesome and nice launches/ nice runs!
