You will need to modify the "bin" by cutting the 'slots" off the sides (inside the opening).
Once that's done they all will fit

hi, i have a 99 xc70 with no cubbyhole- i'm a certified installer but i dont work for any shops-

Now having said that, i have some expertise in installing double dins or whastver else, sadly i have to say this is the first time i'm kind of baffled, i've called pioneer, volvos, went to the dealerships- nobody knows what they're saying mostly!

I have a pioneer avh-p4000 i'm ready to install today but with what dash kit?

u said can use ANY u talkin abt taking one from a TOYOTA (set up) it would just fit the volvo just fine?

i understand the cutting out the side bumps, but what then after?

In my 850 (AFAIK should be same setup) there was no "kit" needed.

1. Pull out factory HU
2. Cut "rails" from sides of opening
3. Mount double din cage in opening
4. Pop in new HU
5. Pop your collar, cuz you has a double din playa
