So it appears I'm the MWC contact for this Volvo event at the Mid Ohio racetrack. The Volvo K-Pax C30 and S60 is in this event, and there are plans to get a Volvo car corral in the infield. Below is the link for the full post. The organizer would like to tighten up her numbers as the race track and K-Pax are asking for better numbers. The K-Pax team is going to let us up close and personal with the race cars, we can meet the drivers, swag and some other stuff is planned for the Volvo supporters that show up. The MWC flag will be flying high and proud there. I need to know ASAP who's in. There of course will be a caravan from Cabellas to someplace in Ohio for the event. Just need to know numbers now, we can work out details later.

Additional info. Camping is allowed at the racetrack and evidently alot of other Volvos are planning to camp, so this could be Carlisle Part Deaux!!!

And here's the Facebook page for the event. You can go there and also mark if you are attending (upper right hand corner). They have 14 people right now.

Hopefully the A/C bearing doesn't grenade on me. But I should be In

Was it TKI or K-pax last car event that they let them on the track and follow the S60 around?

So what's the final word on "admissions" to this?
I've checked the website and it looks super pricey...

$60 to get in and $100 for a vehicle, tent camping $30?

That's getting super expensive...

Lee, details?

I will not be attending even though I love you MWC. Would rather spend the weekend/money on parts for the front end.

That looks to be correct, but I'm confirming with organizer. Doesn't make sense to charge per person and then a car also. Remember, this is for the entire weekend of several races.

Here's the reply I just got:

"Hi Lee,

No the pricing is $60 TO $100 depending on what kind of ticket they wish to purchase and then $15 for infield parking. Michael is working on arranging so we can all be together with out the formal "corral" and he will have a meet and greet etc. The formal corral is $500 for the track to set that up and all that does is give us a grouping area for the cars/us on the infield. Michael was having a chat with Alex from Volvo to see if they will sponsor a tent for us but that was on Friday so I have not heard from him yet.

Camping is recommended in the family campsite area rather then the main camp area according to Michael as well. That is $30 for the weekend.

Wendy"

so we are still looking for around a 100 bucks for admittance and camping??

I don't think I can handle that much especially now with suspension problems...
