Hi I have a 1995 850 turbo. it has a factory amp. can I change to a sc-901 unit using my factory amp. also do I need the Dolby unit with the sc-901. I have also the cd change in my car. I want to get a better sound. can some help me with this.

If you have a factory amp,
it'll drop right in and go.
Rear surround? Yes.
The center channel is another story...

Dolby decoder not mandatory to make the deck work. Obviously you wont have surround.

I didn't answer the surround question very well...
The 901 will run fine without the Dolby box, it just won't have surround.
If you DID add the Dolby module, you'd get some surround effect from the rear
speakers, but it wouldn't be anything to write home about without the center.
And the center in an 850 is problematic, to say the least.
BUT - the real question to me is, is the 901 better, even without the Dolby?
