I'm hoping someone can answer this question. Last week, I replaced the timing belt and four-fan belts (and alternator & p/s pump bushings) on my friend's automatic 1991 240 wagon. I raised the front of the car up on jackstands. He called me a day after I did this work to tell me that the wagon now shakes/vibrates noticeably right at 1,100 RPM. He feels it slightly when accelerating since as he briefly passes through the 1,100 RPM range. He tried putting his foot on the foot brake, and gently increasing the RPMs to 1,100 in his driveway. He said the steering wheel and the driver's seat were shaking (as well as much of the car) at exactly that range. He brought it to a mechanic who immediately suspected the carrier bearing/motor mounts/transmission mount (as did I). All were intact and not the problem. The mounts are about three-years old with maybe 40,000 miles on them. I have yet to look at his car again, so I'm taking the word of this other mechanic that it's not the carrier bearing or anything else in the driveshaft. Since this does NOT happen in PARK or NEUTRAL, just DRIVE, I'm thinking it must be the transmission or the dynamic between the engine and transmission. Does anyone have any ideas???

did you check the drive shaft bearing, and are you sure the timing it exact. sounds like it maybe off timing, also check the idle air screw, rotor and cap, plugs wires etc, i would check that the water pump is good cause that fan will vibrate like crazy if its bent or the bearings are fried and only in the 1000-2000 rpm range, i work on these cars everyday and they all vibrate like crazy idk why but they move around alot lol. good luck man
