Running on dark gray powder coated comets courtesy of Yang. Front bumper trim is brand new and freshly painted. R bumper is also relatively new, so are the S70 door handles. I think the dark wheels look really good on ths car.

They (VS) wax their cars? I thought the lastest craze was to wrap them in viynl so the paint is flat. At least thats what won the IPD show.

I picked a pretty circuitous route and arguably cheated slightly, but I'm going to get there

Paint is great, sorry for disagreeing, but I like bright wheels on dark colored 850's and bright silver or high polished wheels would look great as a contrast to that Volvo paint code.
Thanks! I know what you mean though. Bright wheels on a dark 850 looks better, but I think this gives it a bit of a different flavor. Silver might look fantastic though, especially with the comets.
Looks good Serge, the S70 door handles are a nice touch.
Thanks, Nick!
The S70 handles are fantastic. The feel of them is so much nicer than 850 handles.

Looks good, Serge.
Thanks, Greg!
Clean outside, even cleaner inside! Haha
Looks great Serge! On of my favorite Volvo colors, glad to see you taken pics again!
Thank you thank you! It's definitely a different color. I have people asking what color it is half the time.
my yellow car lives on through yours.
front bumper, comets, carpet, etc.
Carpets not in yet! But yes, parts of j0r car live on.
i love how simple and clean your car is .. it makes mine feel inferior
Just takes some elbow grease and time to make a car look clean
Finally getting to see a picture of the R bumper at an off angle

Dark wheels are much nicer in person. I am trying to visualize how the car would look with silver comets and an R bumper. I know that it looks great with silver comets as-is, but trying to get the whole picture in my head.
Only real men drive purple volvos :

Damn straight!
I am in love with your car.
dark rims look nice and low-pro for a different flavor like you said...maybe to mix it up more a white or silver lip? or strip around the edge...that would make the rims pop out and make them look a bit bigger. that and a little lower and you have a stunner i think! clean as hel1.
Off-color lips on wheels look good on only a few cars, in my opinion. I'm a big fan of them on the Porsche GT3 RS in green.
I'm a fan. This is one of the longest builds I've ever seen and it keeps getting better.
That indeed! Been taking me ages to get anything done. These days I simply can't concentrate on the car as much as I had wanted. Whenever I have free time, it's occupied by another project.
