So, sorry of info on this because it's my sisters car, and she is a Typical girl when it comes to cars, so bare ith me. So on and off for the last week or so she just told us that the car has been stalling while driving randomly, no really re-occurring scenarios, sometimes foot was on gas, sometimes not, sometimes car was going downhill and foot was on the brake.
So today it stalls and she was able to get it off the to the side of the road, but this time car does not want to start again. Car has more than 1/4 tank of gas. Let the car sit, still does not start.
Don't know if it's related but the exhaust system on this car is jacked, was done by her ex and is just FUBAR, so I'm not sure if the car has a rough idle due to the exhaust or other issues. I'm thinking of replacing the fuel pump relay to start with and then kind of go from there. Any other ideas in where I should start?
Thanks guys,
Spence

Here's what I would check. Check the fuse box brass links holder for the fuses. I had a similar problem and replaced the metal fuse holder with a new one and that fixed my problem with the engine just shutting down at random. Also check the timing belt to see if its broken. The engine is not an interference engine so if it is, no damage would have been done to the engine. Good luck.

Check the fuse holder to see of the end links that hold the fuses are loose. I had a problem where the car would just shut off at random that was my problem.
