I'm looking to put a manual transmission into an otherwise stock 2000 XC with low pressure turbo.
will i be able to start my car (immobilizer), rev past 4000 rpm, and not get any CEL and/or DTC?
And after reading two threads will I be able to have reverse lights?
Where would my ECU need to go an how much to pay for the said service.

ECU
Immobilizer
Keys and ignition tumbler
Cluster (if you want matching miles)
Take these parts plus your manual trans and install to your current car. Then everything works except reverse light which you'll need to hardwire to the PNP switch.
Then you can get a tune (stage upgrade) once you have it all installed and working.

Back from a 7K mile adventure in the 2006 V70r . Now its time to get it going for a trip to Vegas later this month. Just sent the IPD DP in to be ceramic coated. I have the ESt CAI, TME exhaust, SNABB intake and have ordered your pulley.
What Tune do you recommend and what type of turnaround time ?

For R models with the K24 still installed the Green tune is well suited for you. We have alot more info about to be launched via our new website (same address ARDTuning.com) so that will help answer some questions. But for 05 and later models we're about a month out on tuning for them. New website update will be launched Weds of next week!
I'm just about to launch our 01-04 model year tuning which is pretty much complete, 05 an later will be next and will take 3-4 weeks to fully decode the maps. There's over 120 maps in the BIN file for that ECU!!!
PM directly if you need anything in the mean time!

The top 5:
1. The Wheel
2. Sliced Bread
3. Indoor plumbing w/toilet paper
4. Fire
5. The ARDVARC by ARD
Let me say...wow! I cant describe how nice it is to receive a build from ARD and just load it into your ECU. One word...Nice.
I have been playing with the 'Soft Launch' created by Lucky a little while back. I cant wait to get this thing dialed. I love it. Its like a kick in the pants around 3200rpm. The engine comes alive and just roars. I am not a programmer but from my observation with it driving around it appears to load a subroutine depending on how you press down on the throttle. Subtle driving you would not notice anything but move the throttle and it loads the subroutine and everything changes. When the soft launch loads there is a buck or stumble then it takes off. I am not sure this is a daily driver flash due to the buck but on the drag strip of any WOT through the gears, look out. One thing I noticed is that when the ECU is put in programming mode the electric fan comes on when the ignition turns off. Turns out this is normal and all you have to do is unplug the ground plug.
I am sure Lucky could explain whats going on better than I but I look forward to some tweaking.

Has anyone made a trip to the dyno for a before and after yet? Peak numbers are great but from the reviews it's the midrange that truly shines. I'd love to see how the power curve is with Lucky's tunes.
I'm actually looking at ditching a toy or two then tracking down a hpt 850 or s70. Driving the "Zombie Wagon" I've built for the girlfriend plus this thread has me REALLY wanting one for myself, lol.

I purchased a custom tune from ARD not too long ago. My tune was created specifically for my modifications and for my turbocharger, a 15g w/ super60 wheel (I provided a turbo map). There was only a two day turnaround time (from me ordering the tune, to the tune shipping out). Impressive. After driving with the tune for a little while, I had a few issues with the AFR and Robert gave me the choice of sending me a new ECU or sending me an ARDVARC cable. I went with ARDVARC in the event the tune needed to be tweaked more, and to avoid constantly sending ECUs back and forth across the country. I also anticipated needing future re-tunes after I install a larger turbo. (Side note: Robert actually contacted me first -- before I even messaged him -- I had an email asking how the tune worked, if I was happy with it, etc. THAT'S customer service
All I can say about ARDVARC is WOW. Setting it up was incredibly easy. Robert provides simple, easy to install software and a detailed video explanation of how to use ARDVARC. Flashing the ECU with a new tune is quick and easy. It only takes a matter of minutes to transform your car. Anyway, for the past week or so, ARD has been working with me to perfect my tune. After some minor tweaking, my tune is exactly where I want it to be. Needless to say, my car hauls ass. Over the past week, ARD kept in touch with me without missing a beat. I had a response to every one of my emails within 24 hours -- most were responded to within a couple of hours or less. After each tune revision ARD requested that I follow up to make sure things were working and to see if any changes needed to be made. It speaks volumes that I can have my car custom tuned by someone on the other side of the country, completely through email. Not only does this take experience and knowledge on the part of the tuner, but it also requires a workable means for tuning, in this case, ARDVARC. The ARDVARC tuning system is, in my opinion, revolutionary in the Volvo tuning world. I can't wait to see where ARD goes from here, and how ARDVARC will expand.
In sum, as long as I own my Volvo I will be using ARD for tuning (and anything else cool, like lightweight crank pulleys
Thanks so much Robert and ARD!
(*Note* I am not a paid spokesperson for ARD
