It will make your engine bay look nicer. That's about it.

That's about all I noticed.

Ironically, I don't like the looks but I bought mine since I had blown through 3 stock units in 18 months. I wanted something I could send back if the problem continues.

As for performance: nada.

Drove it across the border w/o any hassles today!

Gotta get some bumpers and 16 alloys.
Makes me miss mine. It was the same color. Easy to keep clean.

I've already replaced my power steering pump with one from a 960, inspected everything when I had the belt off too. If this doesn't fix it then I might start clubbing baby seals.


Triple checked my alternator and AC compressor as well, they're not making the noise. Its coming from the top of the accessory system, so it has to be either the PS pump or the tensioner. I really hope I'm don't have to replace the pump again.... -_-

I hear this whine whirlling noise. Replaced tensionor and pully. Still have the noise.
I was under the car the other day and heard it... almost sounded like it was coming from the compressor

There's a vibration in the accessory system, and it can be felt very well on the PS pump. The noise sounds like bad bearings but I just can't pinpoint it for the life of me. Ever since I grenaded my last motor and put this one in, its had a loud annoying whirling/spinning noise coming from the accessory system....

Yep. I listened to everything with my stethoscope and it seemed most predominant on the AC comp

remember the VS member JordanVW? Chris was a member here for years... he had about 20 of these stashed away in his barn... he had a few of the hummer looking ones, one with like 2k miles MINT lol he would be a great contact for you!

he still has them LOL the guy was crazy on making sure things were packed perfect , all in all a good guy though last i heard from him was prob about 1-2 years ago
