I am installing my center speaker in my s70 now and once everything is hooked up, the speaker doesnt work. there is no sound or anything coming out of it...Almost like there is no power to it. What would you think the issue is here? I have the harness and everything, would a blown speaker make no noise and be completely silent even when all the way turned up?
Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks

You've got the Dolby module, right?
The one that mounts behind the radio
and has the amp for the center channel in it?
Just checkin'.

Yeah, everything is needed to properly hook it up. There just is no noise or anything, like no power is going to the speaker. Its really weird, i wish I could tell if the speaker was blown or not, I dont think it is, but I have no way of knowning what the problem is

Does anyone have a center speaker they are willing to sell?

You should try testing this a bit more, if you have a multimeter perhaps hook that up to the speaker leads... throw on some tunes at a medium volume and don't forget to change the output mode (think its just a "mode" button in the top right of the 901) from stereo to 3CH and then to the Dolby 5.1 - see if you are getting any voltage there at all...
Next thing i would try is a spare speaker all together but I would confirm the impedance of the center speaker first- I would guess 8ohms... can anyone confirm this? Perhaps it would say so on the back of the speaker if you pull it out... find another speaker- any should do assuming its the same impedance and see if that makes any sound.

Yep, tried a spare speaker and the spare worked, so it was a blown speaker of some sort and yes it is 8 ohms
