I was reading a thread where this guy was wanting to replicate the btcc car that he was going to race. Plus I thought it was pretty cool that he actually figured out how to make it work with out any custom work( thats work properly that is ) here is his thread My link verr long but decent read check it out

I've got a question, no offense meant at all: Why is it that you consistently post up threads where you make it clear in the first post that you like something, or are interested in doing it, and then as soon as someone calls you out or says it's dumb (for whatever reason), you backpedal and act like you don't like it? If you want to do a mod, whether it's Rota wheels or a single wiper, who cares what the VS peanut gallery has to say?

No offense taken, I never back peddle I just thought the picture was funny that appeared under my last reply. I still think its cool. Which is the reason why I added the link to the forum where I found it. Some guy find it entertaining to talk big stuff when they can say it s something we did in the 90's. So intead of feeding the bs I just left it alone not back off my opinion. I thought it was that simple touch to his attemp to build a race replica.

Its your car, do what you want. In the end if you cant look at your car and be happy, you are driving the wrong car.

I had a mono wiper on my Golf in 1996 or so. Usually you remove the driver's side linkage pieces, cap the hole with a UK factory right hand drive cap (assuming they make one), then in most cases you need to modify the throw of the center linkage (usually entails lengthening it) to get 170 degrees or so of sweep. Not hard, but I wouldn't want it and the windscreen coverage is less than stock.

I could list every achievement or car part I have installed in my signature, but I won't.

I did this on my 850 years ago by just switching and reclocking the wiper. Lasted about 10 minutes before I decided I hated it.

I had to register my basement as an NFA item.
