Cv Joint, Car Shifts When Braking

I have a 93 NA sitting in my backyard that i'm parting out, can i get that rebuilt for my 97 turbo? Where is a good place to rebuild them? If I do remove them, can I put the wheels back on and roll the car? I'm getting it towed to a junk yard in a few weeks and if I'd rather have it on wheels so it can roll onto the trailer.
In a separate issue, my car sort of shifts when I hit the brakes sometimes. Is this a side effect of "torque steering" or do i have something else wrong? I replaced the rear delta arm anchorage a few weeks ago and had my car aligned.

The shifting you are feeling is not axle related. It will be control arm or tie rod related and is probably doing a number on your front tires.

as far as the 93..i don't know what you were really asking about...
Another fucking s70: with Lots of zip-ties, a power antenna, and a bitchin shift knob... the only mods that matter.

The cv joints/drive axles/drive shaft. Not sure what they are usually called. I want to know if it is possible to swap them out of my 93 na 5 spd to my 97 turbo automatic.time to go through the whole front end...I bet you have multiple worn parts...

And yes, you should be able to use the axles from the NA. Although new axles only cost about 60-70 a side.

I would absolutely love to do that. Its beyond words how great that would be for my 850R to be a stick shift, however the transmission in the 93 has a bad syncro on 2nd gear, and there was some grinding on 4th. As i understand it, there are no internal parts for sale for volvo transmissions. Plus, it seems like the impossible task to do a swap. the NA was taken off the road due to a horrible RMS leak. I'm basically working with a floor jack, and a couple of jack stands. If you've done a swap, it would be awesome if you can give me some pointers on how to do it. How many hours/days did it take you? What tools would you say are absolutely necessary other than say, a good ratchet set?If you have an NA 5spd sitting in the back yard and a nice 97 850 turbo then what the heck are you sitting around messing with axles for? Get that 5spd into that turbo before it goes to the junk yard with the M56L!!!

And if good quality drive axles are available for cheap i might as well just replace the with new ones.
