Hi
I have some music in various format, MP3, WMA.. etc.
I've tried to burn music CD's but they won;t play in the 850.
Is there a specific kind of CD to use that is more suitable? I use CDR not CDRW
Is there special software to use?
Alternatively, is there a way to make it read music from my IPhone? or a USB Drive?
Thanks

I don't believe you have any options that will work with the 850 CD players.
You can get a BlitzSafe adaptor that hooks to the CD changer port on the stereo and that will allow you to use your iPhone, iPod, etc. That is what I use since I am still on the stock radio.

Every CD I burn works in my 850. Got an 816 in there....CDRW is what I use...

GENERALLY, you'll need to buy the "Music" CDR's. The 850 era CD players have weak lasers in them.

make sure they burn as a Audio CD, not a MP3 CD.

burned CDs work in my 816 only if they are burned @ 1x or 2x...any other speed and it won't read them.

CDs play just fine in my 815.. It might be a difference between CD-R and CD+R. I don't recall which I used.

Topic is aweful. If you use a program to write your CDs then just select audio cd not data.
If you write from prompt you need to assure 1. You are recording them as .wav not mp3 2. That you close the session.
The speed the CD is written at has nothing to do with play back......
