So the S60 has been sitting while I await a tune from Lucky. And I keep having to pause my AE86 build while I sit and wait for parts to be delivered. So I decided to retrofit my B13 Sentra ($500 toy off of craigslist) to do some rally. I figured worst case scenario would be that I break it and throw it away, lol. Here's some pics of fun yesterday after I finished tweaking it a bit.

Some of you might remember seeing this sentra before. I posted a topic with it gutted down to one seat and a Zex nitrous tank sitting next to me :ph34r: (pulled like crazy with a 75 shot, lol) --- Still gutted, nitrous gone, going to take out the oem seat and mount two poly seats and two 4 point harnesses

Hahaha, the oil pan is protected by the skid plate though I need to get some added beefcake around it. There's simply nothing to mount to nearby. I might end up taking the oil pan off and welding plates to it. I'll figure something out. :-)

There's a ton of places to go out here - But if it's dusk or night time you quickly find out just how badly lights are NEEDED, lol
Plus it will help me spot the damn wild pigs that live out here. Hitting one of those will end your night quick, and if it has friends nearby prolly end your night in the hospital

Let's get some more details! One on the Corolla and two how you have built this Nissan.


The nissan is damn near stock really
- The suspension is so much higher because there's nothing in the car but one seat, half dash, steering wheel, gauge cluster, shifter. I dont wanna go aftermarket on the suspension because right now a blown strut costs $30 vs $300, lol
- All thats been done to the motor (which was rebuilt <2 years ago) is an intake, timing advance, and throttle/idle adjustment
- 4 speed manual trans, new clutch, throwout bearing, pilot bushing, and resurfaced flywheel
- The exhaust still has the cat (meow) but it's cut off after that with a simple pipe that exits the side
- The spoiler is actually off a 90's mustang, lol. I had it sitting in the car part pile. Girlfriend rattle canned it black.
- Some AceHardware sheet steal and brackets make up the skid plate
And thats basically it i guess. Give me a few minutes and I'll see if I have pics of the AE86 here (at work)

Mounted the Weber 32/36 DGV with manual choke - Had to modify like crazy with a billet adapter as well as flip the carb around 180 degrees - ALOT of time spent on the carb setup

I also deleted the AC and the fan, swapped to a Jegs 12" 1,200CFM electric fan (sorry no pics)
Suspension is on its way now - Tokico Blue struts all 4 corners and 2" drop springs
I'm in the middle of porting the head currently - When that's done it will be reinstalled with new valves, double valve springs (because I want a 8k redline) and a reground cam (cam specs). Also going to add a MSD 6AL and misc other stuff.
Going to be getting fender flares and a 3" wider stance. Graphite hood and trunk. Custom front lip. ect ect ect ect ......
The list goes on and on and on - But this should give you guys an idea - Work in progress :-)

None of the above is perfect. Right now it's meant to be functional only. BTW, I also picked up a new clutch kit which is currently sitting in the back of the S60 haha

BTW - Here's a video of me taking out the sentra for the 1st time RIGHT after I mounted the skid plate. Taking it very very very easy just to see how things held up - You guys should have seen later that day, lol

if i was building it for myself i would do a motor swap - i was originally thinking a EFI ford 5.0
but the girlfriend likes the car and needs one - so building the stock 4AC is a better idea for her
right now it sounds like a huge racing 2 stroke motor, lol - it's actually pretty impressive

Well, it looks like the major US Tokico vendor is out of stock for a while - Thank you Andysautosport for not letting me know, taking my money, not hearing from you for a week, then telling me you'd call me and tell me whats up, then not, then that all over again, and again, then finally telling me you refunded my money but where is it ??? To which I immediately called horsepowerfreaks and the first thing the guy said was "Sorry man, the vendor has those back ordered for weeks" ... hmm ... anyways ... Ebay here I come --- I really want to get the AE86 suspension done this weekend

AE86 --- Finally got my refund from Andysautosport - As I'm not going to pay for rush delivery on new Tokico struts from Ebay this weekend I'm going to install the aftermarket springs on the stock struts and see what happens :-/

Sentra --- For the rally toy I'm going to beef up the skid plate and I have an idea for better oil pan protection, we'll see how it goes

Well the rally Sentra is officially gone - I traded it for a 240sx - The guy who bought the Sentra took it for a quick spin and came back with wide eyes and a grin from ear to ear. He said he didn't expect it to pull so hard, lol.

I'll figure out something to do with the 240sx. Maybe I'll feed it to the S60 ...

Also, I took the AE86 to the DMV and back again. I drove the car home when I bought it and I've driven it twice since for testing my setup. This was by far it's longest drive and a bit of a test. Temp and oil pressure stayed perfect. Even though it's 95 outside, haha (I did run the electric fan the whole time tho). She shifted very smooth and rev'ed surprisingly freely. I need to check the timing though. I can't wait for the ported head and cam setup to be ready!
