I should have more data tomorrow, but a friend just back to back tested a stock cast R-manifold against a tuned tubular manifold. At a hair over 500whp the tubular only managed 11hp peak more than the stock one. I know the tubular one was tested first giving it every advantage. I have only seen cell pics of the graphs, but power "looks" like it came up quicker, but hard to tell as the images may not even be scaled. Thought you guys might find this interesting.

So the R Manifold is solid up to some pretty high hp levels then...good.

Car is a V70 with some garrett. I think its a T25-T3 so probably a gt35. Boost is not nutty, I think its only 2 maybe 3 bars tops.

11 whp at that HP is not anything significant, but still an upgrade. Just not worth $1000+ over a $175 R Manifold.

Well that says much about the flow quality of the R manifold. I thought however, the point was not to have to run such high boost levels to make decent power?

9k?? Thats so wrong?

Have an E90 M5 thats for sale actually...interested?lol . We had another customer come in and comment about the exhaust sound which is aftermarket on the M5 and sounds fantastic at 8000rpm with the V10. He loved the sound and asked about gettin headers and exhaust for his 2008 M5. I wanted headers and once he found out they cost $5000 he almost fell over, even though they give ya 50hp. So 9K for a 5 banger mani at 11hp is just plain out too lunch. But an eye opener for us to see if its worth the $$ over a R mani.

I have a friend who dropped 20k on a cat back a few months ago. Actually I think the pipe alone on the BMWs was close to 45 dollars a foot. Shit gets expensive when you start talking inconel, high nickel stainless, titanium and so on.

Yeah it gets nuts. A good friend of mine that owns Simply Tire here in Toronto has a 2010 GTR stage 2 that as far as I remember the exhaust was close to 10K. That car is a beast and made me have a some respect for the GTRs. But crzy expensive parts
