Stance:Nation, StanceWorks, Hellaflush, Stanced Society, State of Stance, Stance is everything, Stanced Monkeys, it's all the same thing:

Drop it, stretch it and poke it. Spend more money on wheels than your car is worth. Ratting it up on platinum wheels gains street cred. Not knocking it, but it's all the same stuff. Declaring one stance gospel is greater than another is geekier than the Mac vs. Windows acolytes.

that's about as useful as saying all protestant based religions are the same because they all recognize Jesus...

here's a post from mike burroughs' personal blog:

"So you want a blog about "dope" cars with "sick" fitment...

You don’t like the talk about “family” and “passion” in every post. You don’t like the “happy endings” and you’d “rather watch a chick flick…”
Well guess what: If you want to read about “dope” cars with “hella sick” fitment on “mad” wheels and how they’re the “illest” thing you’ll ever see, there are plenty of other blogs for you.
If you want to read about cool people doing cool shit, and you want to read about what they mean to me, you can read StanceWorks. If you don’t like it, don’t read it, it doesn’t bother me in the least. But don’t bitch about not liking the content. I can think of a few other sites that will suit your needs just fine. They do a fine job of it.
I’ll continue to write about who and what inspires me."

i'll be honest, not all "stance" blogs are created equal

I'm seriously not getting into another "Stance Argument" here on VS. I think Jeremy, Robbie and I have started enough of those.

All I will say is...don't think you're being different by painting your stock wheels blue. People will more often than not think "oh, wtf is this kid doing" rather than "oh wow, that's pretty cool". If you're wanting a different look...buy some different wheels. Please don't be scared to re-drill and/or use adapters.

Everyone here is entitled to their own opinions. Personally, I think the blue looks tacky as shit on a red car. But it's your car and your $5 per can so you can do what you'd like! ^_^

End of the day...I could still care less though. It's his car....not mine.

I'm still considering the hot pink route on mine, but they will not be on stock wheels....lol

Just for the record...what Matt, Jer and Robbie have done may not be for most...but it still looks rad as fuck.

And that was my point in the first place. Do it different, just don't do it poorly.

Spent two years of my life dedicated to exploring that very question. Trust me, they're a lot closer than any of them are willing to admit when you come right down to it. As a general rule, schisms occur over a single tenet or disagreements on who should be the leader. And I adhere to a faith that most Protestants would say is the furthest out there so that's saying something.

What Mike is talking about is more about the attitude and less about the actual dressing of the vehicle. He's a taste sneezer, he declares what he likes and those who match his style and attitude join his voice. I've seen plenty of well built cars that come from very different subcultures within the Stance "faith."

Matt, I wasn't trying to draw you into a Stance Argument, because I deeply respect what you,Jeremy, Robbie and others who go for the look all do in pushing the envelope around this particular aspect of what it means to build an excellent car. I just think it's worth calling out a truism when I see it.

To be honest, I told him the same thing. I originally suggested royal purple.
