the spring rates might be different between c70 and 850 part numbers due to the extra weight from the potential convertible top. I mean... totally a guess. but it could be something like that. I wouldn't be too worried about it.
It's a coupe, not a vert, but you guys might be on to something.JVC is right, the different part numbers refer to the different spring rates, mainly the rear springs I believe. I'm running the sedan springs on my wagon and its fine. As for your C70, they should fit but I would keep an eye out for rubbing in the rear from the extra weight of the convertible.
