Please don't start multiple threads on the same problem. And the right place for posting these kinds of questions is where your last "My car died" thread was moved to by the mods: in the FWD/AWD 1999-2010 Maintenance forum. <- That link points to your original thread where we tried to work through the problem with you. Let's continue the conversation there.

If you think starting fluid is a valid concern you should be taking your car to a shop

They (VS) wax their cars? I thought the lastest craze was to wrap them in viynl so the paint is flat. At least thats what won the IPD show.

uhh, you;re not supposed to jump the car from the battery itself. There are posts in the engine bay for that. AAA Jumped my dads car from the battery and had the same error for SRS something something... AAA paid for it but it fried out some module.

Have you checked for spark, fuel etc?

That sounds similar to what happened to my car when I fried the wiring harness/ecu etc. LOLOL

Is this something new with S80s and modern cars John? I'll be honest I haven't jumped a car that's newer than a 98.

It's not even cranking so obviously starting fluid would not help. Are you sure your jumper pack is fully charged? These cars are very sensitive to voltage and if the battery voltage drops low enough it will set weird codes in modules. The gauges drop when you try to crank, which leads me to think that the jumper pack isn't sufficient enough. Try locking your door and unlocking it WITH THE KEY a few times to make sure it's not an immobilizer issue as well.

Battery is in the trunk, supposed to jump it from the engine bay.

The problem might be that the jumper pack doesn't have enough juice to jump the car from the back and you need to try to jump it from the front. less cable to loose juice from the battery pack to the starter/etc.
