This is the story of my 1995 960 project. My dad bought the car new. And he passed away in Dec 2008. Well, his wife drove the car until November 2010. When she calls me and tells me if I want my Dad's car I have to get up to Los Angeles in a week and tow it out of her driveway. It seems that she drove it that whole time and didnt do anything to it. Didnt wash it, didnt change or check the oil. And didnt even check the coolant. She said that the car just stopped running. So it was junk to her. But to me it was the last car that my dad ever bought. So, I went up to L.A. from my place in San Diego and towed it home.Where it sat until February 2011. I then took it to the Volvo shop to get checked out. I have to say that I got lucky. The engine was ok. BUT I had to have some transmission work done. New coolant. There was NONE! And of course an oil change. They also replaced the front end bushings and a bunch of other stuff. And it became my daily driver. :) Here are some pics just after i started cleaning it up.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Well, Here is the rest of the story. I drove my car. And fell in total love with it. I replaced the radiator, and some other stuff. I made plans to fix it up. I started to make Volvo friends and found some really cool stuff for it. And came up with some cool ideas for it. Then one day about a month ago I went out to my parking lot to go to work and found this....Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Here my car is as it sits now. It now has a custom hand made grill and custom hand made front bumper. Both were made by fellow VS member Tomcat over in the U.K. It has a nice R spoiler that I got from Tomcat as well. As well as clear corners and side markers . All from Tomcat.

I always use Auto Tech Volvo in EL Cajon. They have over 28 years in business. They are the most amazing shop ever. If you want the number let me know.

Needs more aero to match that front bumper. Subtle side skirts and a rear lip would be killer!

I agree with all of that! And yes, Tomcat did an AWESOME job on both the bumper and grill! :)

hey that looks great! Nice resuscitation.
I think the sideskirts look is a trick of the eye: painted black in the bright lights, it looks like they're missing until you spy the letters.
Coming along nicely :)
