I usually don't like to post unless I have something positive to say, but there is just so much wrong going on here. If you don't have the money to make tastefull additions then enjoy the car as is until you have the funds. With all this spray painting going on you are going to turn into the next macminter and I don't want to see another man in a sweatshirt dress. Now with that being said, its far from a lost cause.

I would remove the tacky stickers. There are somecases where a nice decal will look good, but these just cheapen the look.

Headlights look good minus spraying the high-beam completely black. Regardless if you use them or not, it doesn't look good.

The corners look awful. Take some 600 or so and sand them down a bit. With the joey modded headlights a light tint on the corner doesn't look too bad.

Grill looks great. Such a classy look with the waterfall painted black and the surround/slash still chrome.

From the pictures the foglights don't look bad but oem would look much better.

I hope you don't take any of this personal, but take it as constructive criticsm. With a couple cosmetic changes, coilovers, and a couple little things you will be on the right track.

No offence taken. I dont mind criticism as long as theres some sort of odvice, or reason in there.

on another note, anyone have any other options on getting lower for about $300-$400?

You can get low for around that if you play your cards right.

http://volvospeed.co..._coilovers.html

I was going to sleeve the factory struts at one point but with coils only being $600 its really not worth messing around with options that wont ride as well and will be a homebrew solution.

Here is what I would do:

~Lower it. (we all get that part) Run around with the springs and throw some moolah in the piggy bank every now and then until you can get some coilovers. You really will not regret it.

~Put some center caps on the wheels.

~If you want black head lights get some ABMs and put a smoked film on them.

~Pint the rest of the grill black.

This is just my opinion and how I would approach this. I have no issues with the fogs so good job on that.

- had tint film on before, didnt really care for it
- i like the chrome left around the grill

The best option is to save $200 more and buy the TA Technix... or holdout for a while until some more slightly used D2's pop up.

LOL at least you know its not gonna end up with rainbow wheels. It looks nice besides the headlights obviously but other than that you can't deny that its a pretty clean S70.

Well yeah... it's relatively un-molested right now... but if it continues on the path that it's on it could get pretty badddd....

haha no rice for me. only further plans for the exterior is to fix the headlights, finish up the lip, tint the windows, polish the wheel lips, remove the mudflaps, and lower it more. Other than that focus a bit more on performance, and maintenence.

You have an NA. Skip the performance and work on the looks. I have an NA as well (same car) and trust me when I tell you, it doesn't get any faster than where you're at right now lol.

With that being said, I like where you're going with the car. The wheels look good but could use a refresh (polished lip, etc) and I would maybe get ride of the chrome around the grille since it doesn't tie into anything else on the car.

Just a mini update, took you guys advice and fixed the headlights the corner lights are still a work in progress. Also neither the magnaflow ss or flowmaster 40 were cutting it, so i decided to bite the bullet and test out a k2 canister muffler (ebay). ^_^ Still got a few more things to finish up this weekend though
