The raffle has ended (winners listed on page 3), however you may still send donations. All donations will be forwarded to Chuck to put toward his housekeeping fund. Thank you for your support for Chuck and his family, this wouldn't have been possible without you, VS.

For those who don't know, the wife of one of our Portland members, Chuck (Mossback), has recently been diagnosed with cancer.

Chuck has been a contributing member of the Volvo community as well as a good friend for a number of years now, so a few of us Portland members decided to put something together to express our support.

Both ARD and Snabb have offered to donate some tuning goodies for a raffle to raise money for Chuck and his family. The money raised will be put toward gift certificates to local food/service/entertainment establishments to help convenience Chuck and his family. Quantity and type of gift certificates will depend on how much money we raise.

We will hold two raffles; a donation of $5 will enter you once into the raffle of your choice. You may enter each raffle as many times as you’d like. One raffle will be held for an ARD tune including ECU core, or 3 hours of custom tuning by Lucky himself. The other raffle will be for an intake pipe, poly intake manifold spacer, and an IAC hose from Kristian at Snabb Performance Parts. The raffles will run until midnight on Sunday, October 2nd. On Monday, October 3rd, I will post the winners here as well as contact them directly.

I will keep an updated list of those who have donated here in this thread.

Donations can be sent to my paypal address: rye_z@hotmail.com. Please select "gift" and don't forget to include your VS display name as well as which raffle(s) you would like to enter in the comments/notes section with your donation.

That's a real shame. I'm sorry to hear about this :(

I'll gladly participate. I would have donated regardless of the raffles.

Although I don't know chuck on the forum, I do deal with cancer patients at my work on regular basis and I can understand what they go through. I've seen so much working in healthcare and I often see what these patients and their family go through and it sometimes it really breaks my heart. I really encourage others to donate to help out.

WOW, I stumbled across this post and am flattered by the support. yep, Sandy's mid way through her preliminary treatment for stage 4 colon cancer, we're hoping she can show enough improvement to have surgery.

While we're financially OK with good insurance, its the extra work managing a big household that's kicking my ass. Kids are stepping up, but I'm done by the weekend since I am the primary breadwinner. (100% housecleaning, cooking and shopping wasn't on my original job description, :o )

Thank you all for this and Rye for setting it up. I will appreciate any help I can get.

I'm sorry to hear the news. But knowing my skills at house cleaning I won't offer to help there. Though I do have some good fridge cleaning skills.
